:: jayce is eight–soon :: rochester mn children photographer

My little guy is not so little anymore. He wants to wear Etnies and he doesn’t want to hold my hand crossing the street — well he hasn’t wanted to do that for awhile now. Sad! He wants to mow our lawn and he did a good job in the backyard yesterday. But I do know he still needs me when he falls off his scooter and when it’s time for me to tuck him in at night.:)The end of September he will be EIGHT. And still, I want that rock to arrive so I can put it on his head to stop him from growing ( something I tease him about all the time.) Here are a few from a new location for photo sessions I found. I am in love! There are two of the same image down below toward the end…One black and white and the other color. Which one do you like better? I can’t decide and need to order one for my wall!!

Sarah did such an amazing job decorating her wedding. I entered Mayowood Stone Barn and asked her right away who decorated for her…She replied, “I did.”  I am seriously thinking of hiring her for my wedding;)  Just kidding, Sarah, I won’t….but you should really think about this as a side job!  The day started out with torrential down pour an hour before I was supposed to arrive.  I stayed positive and just knew it would go away.  Well, the clouds cleared and the sun was shining the rest of the day.  The ceremony took place by the gorgeous oak tree; everything was perfect.  Sarah and Blaise, I wish you all the happiness and thanks for letting me be a part of your day.  It was beautiful.

It’s the perfect time of year for outdoor photo sessions!  Last September we had a fun session at the Plummer house and it has been fun to see how they’ve grown…and how many teeth Blake has lost!  We had a fun evening  with a lot of giggles :)  I hope you two have a wonderful summer and hope to see you again soon!!

We started out in the Warehouse District and just in this tiny corner we had so many amazing backdrops. Loved it here. Sarah and Blaise were an absolute blast. They are playful, fun, sweet and hilarious and I really enjoyed hanging out with them for a couple of hours. I am extremely excited to shoot their wedding at my most favorite venue, Mayowood Stone Barn.  Next time you see this sweet couple they will be all suited up in a tuxedo and beautiful wedding gown:)  Can’t wait!!!

::alyvia’s 4 year session:: rochester, mn childrens photographer

Going through these images from our session this past weekend I am reminded again how much I love taking portraits of children.  I was laughing at Alyvia constantly!  She is a pretty funny 4 year old with an enormous personality bursting out of her.  Definitely not camera shy as she had an agenda of her own. I had to direct her a few times but really, she posed so naturally and made my job so easy and incredibly fun!  I had to add one image of her and her mom, too.  Just want to point out, she wasn’t expecting to be in front of the camera but the final shot is so sweet of them two.  Alyvia definitely loves her mommy:)
